The San Francisco 49ers' season ended last week. They didn't make the playoffs, but on Tuesday the State Supreme Court will consider a case about the team's policy of patting down fans attending home games at Candlestick Park. The challenge to the pat-down policy was initiated by two 49ers season ticket holders from Danville.

Governor Schwarzenegger's office announced today its latest plan to solve the state's deepening financial crisis: a combination of budget cuts, tax increases, fund-shifting, lottery changes and borrowing that would get California out of its $40 billion budget hole if all goes well.
